3 things to know this morning – October 5, 2023
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Thursday.
1. The Jackson Police Department is looking for a missing man, Mike Pursel. He was last known to be working at a downtown hotel. Those who know him say he has not checked in for about a week. If you have seen Pursel or know his whereabouts, contact the Jackson Police Department.
2. Yellowstone Safari Park is giving visitors the chance to get up close encounters with animals that are native to the Yellowstone Caldera. The park faced legal battles over how the operation is classified as a game ranch used for agricultural, and not commercial use for two years before they finally opened the gates. The ranch is located outside of Sugar City at 2246 W 4000 North.
3. After months of work, the intersection of Woodruff Avenue and 17th Street will fully open at 8 a.m. today. Improvements include an additional left turn lane and a dedicated right turn lane in each direction. Concrete medians were also installed to restrict left turns and reduce accidents.
