PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to drop his Democratic bid for president and announce he’ll run as an independent or third-party candidate. Kennedy’s campaign has teased a major announcement Monday in Philadelphia. Kennedy running as a third-party candidate would add a new wrinkle to a 2024 race that’s heading toward a likely rematch between Democratic President Joe Biden and Republican former President Donald Trump. Kennedy is a member of one of the most famous Democratic families in politics. Kennedy was running a long-shot Democratic primary bid but has better favorability ratings among Republicans than Democrats.
