3 things to know this morning – October 17, 2023
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) - Here's what you should know to start your Tuesday.
1. Every member of a church group from Pocatello that was stranded in Israel, is now home and safe. The members of St. Anthony's church in Pocatello were some of thousands of Americans racing to get out of Israel this past weekend. The last 3 members of the group flew back into Pocatello last night.
2. A public forum will be held tonight regarding an update on the Idaho Falls School District 91 levy dispute with the Idaho State Tax Commission. According to Bonneville County Prosecutor, the injunction prevented the commission from notifying Bonneville County that District 91's most recent plant facilities levy was unlawful. The forum starts at 7 in the community room at Smith Chevrolet.
3. A number of food drives are going this week. Idaho Falls, Ammon, Pocatello and many more communities are looking for your help to feed people this winter. So far the food drive in Idaho Falls has collected 22,000 pounds of food in the past two weeks.
