    KINSTON, North Carolina (WLOS) — A mother is now facing abduction charges after violating a court order.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, officers with Kinston Police Department responded to a call regarding two juveniles who were abducted from a residence in Kinston.

When officers arrived on scene it was discovered that the two juveniles in question had been placed into a foster care home by DSS prior.

During the investigation it was uncovered that the biological mother, Kimberley Westbrooke, 34, of Greenville had taken the two children from the foster home, which violated orders.

Authorities located both Westbrooke and the juveniles in Ayden.

The children were safely returned to the foster family.

Westbrooke was arrested and charged with the following:

Two counts of abduction of children

No bond information was disclosed.
