From Barbie’s unexpected wisdom to dissent among Kennedys, these are the top quotes of 2023

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s siblings topped a Yale list of 2023’s most notable quotations with their condemnation of his presidential candidacy. Former New York Rep. George Santos, meanwhile, came in at No. 2 with the comment that he is not Jewish, but rather “Jew-ish,” with Jewish background on his mother’s side of the family. Even Barbie, played by Margot Robbie in this year’s blockbuster movie, made the list at No. 5 with the question: “Do you guys ever think about dying?” The list is compiled by a Yale Law librarian each year as a supplement to The New Yale Book of Quotations.
