GOVERNMENT CAMP, Oregon (KPTV) — Snowfall on Mt. Hood throughout Thursday evening was a welcome sight for skiers and snowboarders eagerly waiting for fresh powder up at Mt. Hood Skibowl.
“I didn’t start skiing until January,” Burton said. “Just because there wasn’t any snow up here.”
The fresh snowfall was like a breath of fresh air for many who said it’s been a long time coming as many riders have called conditions this season rough. “It’s little late in the season,” Burton said. “It’s about time.”
“It’s fortunate we got some snow,” added Addison, a snowboarder.
People packed into the resort’s parking lot to get a taste of the powder, like Casey, who “wanted to come experience the good snow.”
