DRIGGS, Idaho (KIFI)—The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a flood warning for Teton County. They said heavy rain last night is causing some small streams to run out of their banks.

Water was seen flowing over Highway 33 between Driggs and Victor this morning.

The weather service said between .25 and .5 inches of rain fell Monday in the area.

The warning also includes highland areas of eastern Bonneville County.

They also flooding to occur with snow melting from forecasted warmer temperatures.

The weather service warns people to be safe.

They suggest:
Turn around, and don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
