Gusty isolated storms after 2pm with high wind gusts 50mph+ possible

93 today with increasing clouds and patchy smoke. We are going to have chances of some hot isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds into the afternoon from 2-8pm. Don't be surprised if winds clock past 50+ mph with these storms. Red flag warnings are in place for most of our Idaho viewing area, that mean the increased risk of wild fires today. Gusty winds and lightning are in the forecast as well as dry conditions.

While this shifts helps with the smoke, it will only make tomorrow hotter. Close to 98 in Pocatello and 95 in Idaho Falls. The region will be dry and slightly cooler into the week.
