Southbound U.S. 20 reopens near Sugar City following fatal semi-truck crash

SUGAR CITY, Idaho (KIFI) — Southbound traffic has reopened along U.S. 20 near Sugar City after a fatal crash shut down the highway earlier today. The incident took place around 10:25 a.m. and appears to have involved a semi-truck.

First responders remain on the scene actively investigating the cause of the accident. Madison County Deputies are telling drivers to proceed through the area with caution and watch for emergency personnel.

REXBURG, Idaho (KIFI) — Madison County Sheriff's Deputies are on the scene of a fatal crash near Sugar City, thats closed a portion of U.S. Highway 20.

The crash took place near mile marker 339. According to a post on the Madison County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, all southbound traffic is completely closed.

Deputies are telling drivers to expect significant delays for several hours as first responders work the scene.
