Public invited to honor Idaho’s 80 fallen officers and 7 K-9s on May 15th

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI)- The Bonneville County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho Falls Police Department are hosting a National Peace Officer Memorial Day ceremony Friday night. One is held each year on May 15th to honor fallen law enforcement heroes.

This year's service will recognize 363 names of those who were killed in the line of duty across the United States and remember the families that were left behind. Bonneville County Sheriff Sam Hulse and Idaho Falls Police Chief Bryce Johnson will read the names of Idaho's 80 fallen heroes and seven fallen K-9's.

It will be held tonight at 6pm at the Bonneville County Courthouse on 605 N. Capital Ave. The public is invited to attend.
