Idaho State wins two matches and earns all-tournament honors in Wichita

POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) — The Idaho State volleyball team earned two all-tournament selections and finished with a 2-1 record at the Shocker Volleyball Classic in Wichita.

The Bengals closed out the tournament by securing back-to-back 3-1 victories over Stephen F. Austin and host Wichita State.

Freshman outside hitter Mia Walsh earned all-tournament recognition after leading the Bengals with 30 kills. Walsh also recorded 31 digs and eight blocks over the course of the tournament. Senior middle blocker Jaydin Watts also secured a spot on the all-tournament team. Watts posted 19 kills and a team-high 17 blocks.

Idaho State will play next on Thursday at the Boise State Classic.
