Ririe woman injured in two-vehicle crash near Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) — A Ririe woman was injured Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 26 and North 55th East, according to Idaho State Police.

The crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 15.

Troopers said a 25-year-old Ririe woman was driving a gray 2012 Nissan Altima eastbound on U.S. 26 when a 2019 Kenworth truck, driven by a 63-year-old Idaho Falls man, attempted to turn westbound from North 55th East. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

The woman was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Police said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
