Car collision east of Idaho Falls sends two people to the hospital

Bonneville County, Idaho (KIFI) - Two people were taken to the hospital following a car crash that happened east of Idaho Falls on Monday night.

Idaho State police says the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 26 and North 45th East.

Police say a 28-year-old woman from Ammon was driving a 2005 Toyota Prius south on North 45th East when she collided with a 2023 Nissan Rogue traveling east on U.S. 26.

The Nissan was driven by a 63-year-old woman from Boise.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.

The intersection was blocked for about an hour and a half following the crash.
