Sugar-Salem Advances Past Cole Valley, 36-21

SUGAR CITY, Idaho — After three weeks away from Friday night lights, the Sugar-Salem Diggers returned to action Friday night with a 36-21 playoff victory over Cole Valley Christian.

The Diggers hadn't played since October 16, but the lengthy break didn't slow them down as they jumped out to an early lead and maintained control of the game.

With the victory, Sugar-Salem keeps its postseason run alive and advances to face Weiser next week, with a spot in the 4a championship game on the line.
