Jackson Police investigate gun threat
JACKSON, Wyo. (KIFI/KIDK) - Jackson Police reported Monday, they were called to investigate a reported threat from an intoxicated man with an AR-15 rifle Saturday, Nov. 9 in front of the Mountain Modern Hotel.
Officers contained the threat and questioned the man. He told police he was walking home from a bar when he was assaulted by three unidentified men.
According to police, the man said the suspects kicked and punched him, then threatened him with a pistol. The man said he ran to his hotel, grabbed his unloaded rifle and attempted to find the three men.
Friends took the rifle from the man after he was contacted by JH Security.
The man later told police he never actually saw a pistol but believed he heard it being “racked.”
The three men have not been located.
