Soldier Mountain opens Saturday

FAIRFIELD, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - Soldier Mountain Ski Area is opening this weekend on Dec. 14 and Dec. 15.

Soldier Mountain Ski Area Office Manager Beth Piña said depending on storms, they will see if they can get to their regular schedule.

The 2019/2020 regular season hours will be 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Thursdays will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Full day ticket sales begin 15 minutes prior to opening and half-day ticket sales begin at 12:30 p.m. Last hour ticket sales begin at 3:00 p.m.

A Soldier Mountain Season Pass offers you the ability to ski or snowboard any time the ski area is open, along with these additional benefits:

• December 15^th is the birthday cut-off for season passes. For example, if someone is 69 on December 15^th, that individual will not qualify for the senior season pass, which is for individuals 70 and older. Or if a child will turn 6 before December 15^th, the child will qualify for a youth season pass. A valid ID or birth certificate may be required.
• Limit 5 per type for the $75 tuning and bring a friend punch cards.
• Season pass holders are allowed one “I forgot my pass” ticket during the season, after that, full ticket price will be charged.
• Season pass holders are allowed one “I lost my pass” and it will be replaced for $15. After that, full season pass rates will apply.
• Season pass photos are taken at the Pray for Snow Season Pass Party prior to the 2019/20 season, or during their first visit of the 2019/20 season.
• Season passes are revocable at Soldier Mountain’s discretion and violation of any law while visiting Soldier Mountain can result in pass revocation without compensation.
