1 Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash
Idaho State Police investigated a deadly crash involving two vehicles Wednesday.
It happened at 200 South and 500 West in Minidoka County.
ISP said Marina Gomez, 20, of Paul, Idaho, was driving west on 200 South in a 2008 Hyundai Elantra when she didn’t stop at the stop sign. Taylor Carson, 19, of Burley, Idaho, was driving south on 500 West in a 2010 Ford Fusion and crashed into Gomez’s car at the intersection.
Gomez died on impact, police said. She had two children in the car, who were taken to the hospital. One was treated and released. The second passenger was flown to the hospital with unknown injuries. Carson was taken to Cassia Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Everybody in both cars was wearing seat belts.
The crash is still under investigation.
