ISU Gets $2 Million For Nuclear Research

Researchers at Idaho State University will soon be getting millions of dollars from the U.S. Department of Energy.

The DOE announced $2 million worth or research grants for ISU Tuesday.

The research grants are part of a program to help develop cutting edge nuclear technology at universities in the United States.

The money headed to ISU will fund two research projects by nuclear engineering professor Eric Burgett.

Both of his projects are focused on fuel cycle research and development for the next generation of nuclear reactors.
