Idaho Falls Gears Up For Weekend On Greenbelt

There’s a lot of excitement in store for downtown Idaho Falls this weekend as the town gears up for the annual duck race and race boat competition.

More than 12,000 rubber ducks will swim over the falls for the 21st annual duck race.

It’s not just the duck race everyone is excited about but the Snake River Roaring Youth Jam as well.

From Thursday through Saturday kids can spend the day letting out their creative juices at over a dozen different art booths celebrating art from around the world.

“It’s just really cool to show the local children here what kids their age are probably doing in another country. We hope that’s a cool thing they can connect to,? said education director Catherine Smith.

Saturday afternoon there will also be some high speed boat races out here on the river.

The youth jam will also hold the battle of the bands Saturday night in the civilian’s plaza in downtown Idaho Falls.

The concert begins at 7 p.m.
