Luna for Governor?

State School Superintendent Tom Luna is downplaying calls by his supporters to run for governor if Butch Otter decides not to run again.

Luna told Local News 8 today that while is flattered by the encouragement, his focus right now is on his current job. Still, when pushed he admitted he has not ruled out the possibility.

?I never thought I would be state superintendent,? Luna said. ?If someone would have asked me 12 years ago when I ran for the school board in Nampa, do you want to be state superintendent, I would have said no, that’s something that never crossed my mind. But, I suppose you never say never because you don’t know what life or what the Lord’s plans are for you, but right now I really enjoy what I?m doing.”
