Salt Lake Police Investigate Attacks On Gay Men
Salt Lake City police are investigating a pair of attacks near a downtown nightclub that left two gay men seriously injured.
Dane Hall says he was beaten by a group of men outside Club Sound on Aug. 26. The 20-year-old lost six teeth and was left with a shattered cheekbone and fractured jaw.
He says the beating came after someone shouted a gay slur at him.
On the same night, club owner Tom Taylor says he was leaving the business when another gay man who had suffered a similar beating asked him for help.
Police have released few details about either case, but say there’s no initial indication the attacks are related.
A third gay man also claims he was beaten outside Club Sound back in April.
