Bicyclist In Hospital After Hit By Car

Police responded to an accident between a car and a bicycle Tuesday on North Yellowstone Highway in Idaho Falls.

Todd Matthews was pulling out of Fred and Wayne’s Auto Shop around 1 p.m. on Tuesday when he hit a bicyclist’s rear tire, knocking him down.

According to police, the man on the bike then appeared to have a seizure and was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Matthews said he couldn’t believe what had happened.

“I was scared to death. I’m still scared,” Matthews said.

Police are not yet releasing the name of the victim.
