I-15 Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrests

A routine traffic stop Monday night ended in a drug bust.

Idaho State Police said they stopped a 2003 Kia Spectra around 9 p.m. at milepost 117 near Idaho Falls.

A 21-year-old Minnesota man named Zachary Spieker was driving. Police smelled marijuana, searched the car and found one and a half pounds of pot. They also found several units of LSD, 2 containers of some unknown powder and drug paraphernalia, ISP said.

The powder is being sent to a forensics lab for testing.

Spieker was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on drug charges.
