Idaho Falls Man Charged With Grand Theft

Police arrested an Idaho Falls man Sunday on burglar, grand theft and destruction of evidence charges after, police said, he was caught breaking into cars over the weekend.

Cody Lee Smith was arrested near the 700 block of Garfield after police were sent to the area for a report of a stolen purse.

When arrested, police said Smith had stolen items with him.

During the investigation, police said they found other stolen items in Smith?s possession that he attempted to conceal from police.
