Museum Gets New Director
Locals were invited to get a special look at the region’s history at the Bannock County Historical Museum.
Saturday afternoon, the history museum dropped the entrance fee and brought out the cake for an open house to the public.
Inside, visitors took a look at exhibits of everything from early railroad history and pioneer times to ancient Shoshone-Bannock Indian artifacts.
The museum is welcoming a brand new director and curator.
Tabatha Butler is coming straight from finishing her masters program at Boise State University.
“We’ve had a great museum here for 20 years plus. So I want to get a lot of community involvement through patronage, through volunteer work and through interns,? Butler said.
The Bannock County Historical Museum is located right next to the Fort Hall replica in Pocatello’s upper Ross Park.
