Former High School Coach Gets Jail For Inappropriate Relationship With Student

A former American Falls High School coach was given jail time for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Appearing in court Thursday morning, Zenna Galeria received a withheld judgment. She was placed on five years probation and was sentenced to serve 45 days in the Power County Jail.

Galeria had been charged with felony sexual battery.

The teacher had reportedly had a five month-relationship with a then-17-year-old student at the end of the 2010-2011 school year.

The alleged relationship started with text messaging and ended in something physical, the Power County Sheriff?s Office said in July.
