Multiple-Vehicle Crash Blocks Highway 20 For 3 Hours

A four-vehicle accident blocked U.S. Highway 20 for three hours Wednesday.

Paul Ivany, 55 of Australia, was driving westbound behind a snowplow on at Milepost 388 in Island Park. Amy Broderick, 27, Kristin Broderick, 19, both of Kanab, Utah, and Anthony Espy, 43 of Antelope, Calif., were all driving east at that location.

After they passed the snowplow, Amy Broderick and Ivany collided, blocking both lanes of travel, according to a news release from the Idaho State Police.

Kristin Broderick was then struck from behind by Espy, and her vehicle was pushed into Amy Broderick’s vehicle.

Amy and Kristin Broderick, as well as three passengers from their vehicles, were transported to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg with injuries that were not life-threatening. Neither Ivany nor Espy was injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
