New Fiber Cable Improves Pocatello’s TV Signal
Cable subscribers in Pocatello might have noticed a much clearer picture over the weekend.
It’s a project that’s been in the works for about four years.
Cable subscribers in and around Pocatello can now, for the first time, get a pure digital signal.
“It’s gonna be more dependable,” said Brett Young, Cable One’s technical operations manager. “We got rid of all our equipment here in Idaho Falls, which causes less problems, less equipment to go bad.”
In addition to the better television signal, the new fiber line also feeds into nearby cellphone towers, helping boost cell reception as well.
