Three Plead Not Guilty In Connection To Christmas Killing

Three men implicated in the Christmas Day stabbing death of 20-year-old Buck Garner in Ammon have pleaded not guilty.

Brent Pongyan and Derek Perez, both 18, and Adan Cisneros, 45, appeared for arraignment on charges of aggravated battery before 7th District Judge Dane Watkins Jr. Tuesday morning. All were ordered to stand trial beginning April 10.

A fourth person, Alexis Gonzalez, 18, will appear before the judge for a status conference Feb. 27 on charges of obstructing and harboring a fugitive.

Joseph Manuel Chavez, 19, is charged with second-degree murder in Garner’s death. He is scheduled for arraignment Feb. 14.
