BLM Offers Reward To Catch Campground Vandals

The Bureau of Land Management has posted a one thousand dollar reward for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of those responsible for vandalism at the Joe T. Fallini Campground at Mackay Reservoir.

Challis Field Manager Todd Kuck said the damage occurred Feb. 2.

?It?s clear that these individuals intentionally meant to destroy this site,? he said. Two concrete drinking foundations were destroyed, multiple signs were knocked down, kiosks were damaged and chains were cut. Kuck said it would cost more than $6,000 to repair the facilities.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Special Agent Linden Schenkler in Idaho Falls at 524 7590.
