Teton Valley Plans For Economic Growth

Teton Valley leaders are putting a lot of effort into improving their local economy.

After the construction boom collapsed in 2008, business in the valley has been hurt.

To get the economy moving again the Teton County Commission has put together an Economic Development Action Plan.

Chairman of the Teton Valley Development Business Center, Bob Foster, said the goal is to sustain and retain existing business as well as attract new businesses to the valley.

“It will give us a specific strategy and direction that will be implemented by local non-for-profit groups in Teton County and that’s a huge step forward for us,” Foster said.

Foster also said a better-coordinated effort between government agencies and business owners will greatly improve the economic growth.
