Police: Woman Attacked Husband With Meat Cleaver
A 45-year-old woman is charged with felony battery after she allegedly struck her husband in the leg with a meat cleaver.
Elissa Patrice Beatong Ellis of Jamaica was being held in the Madison County Jail.
David Michael Ellis, 34, was treated for the injury at Madison Memorial Hospital.
Capt. Randy Lewis says police were notified of the incident by hospital personnel Monday night.
He says the woman claimed to have attacked the man after accusing him of passing a communicable disease to her.
