Four boaters rescued from American Falls reservoir
Life jackets are credited for saving the lives of four Pocatello residents rescued from a capsized boat on American Falls Reservoir Sunday. The Power County Sheriff’s office says it received a 911 call at 4:23 pm that four people were attempting to bale out water from their boat. The victims were pulled aboard another boat in the Seagull Bay area.
The Sheriff’s office identified the passengers as Sammy, Melissa, Danny and Jessie Whitworth all of the Pocatello area. One adult male passenger sustained a minor injury to his right leg and was treated by Power Council EMS. The incident is still under investigation.
