Portion of 17th Street to be closed Monday
The city of Ammon will close a section of 17th Street between Ammon Road and Ridgewood Drive beginning Monday, June 25. City Administrator Ron Folsom said construction crews will completely remove the existing road, widen the roadway by about two feet, then repave the entire section.
The closure will be in effect for up to five weeks. Signs designating alternative routes will go up beginning Friday.
Ammon Public Works Director Ray Ellis says city crews will be doing most of the construction work. HK Contractors won an $82,000 bid to repave the street.
