Jackson conference center gets OK

The Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board has approved a $250,000 enhancement grant to the town of Jackson. The funding was part of over $12 million in Business Ready Community grant requests from across the state approved by the board in Cheyenne on Thursday.

The town itself has budgeted another $250,000 in matching funds to be used toward the project. The funding will be used for Phase 1 of the Snow King Convention and Event Center improvement project.

Assistant Town Administrator Roxanne DeVries Robinson said the project will focus on the Snow King Conference Center. It will expand the center’s conference and meeting space and improve the energy efficiency of the front entrance area.

The project will also include improved technology infrastructure to support business conferences. Construction will expand its overall square footage to include construction of additional meeting rooms.
Work will begin immediately.
