Knife incident prompts drug-related arrest
An Idaho Falls man was arrested on drug charges after police responded to a report of a knife-related incident.
On Friday at 2:15 a.m., officers responded at the 2700 block of St. Clair Road.
They found Adam Salisbury, 29, hiding in a white GMC pickup with blood on the driver’s side door. Police questioned Salisbury, who was uncooperative at first.
They said they found he was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and a pair of brass knuckles. He appeared to be under the influence of drugs, the department said.
Salisbury was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance in public, and resisting and obstructing an officer.
When Salisbury was booked at the Bonneville County Jail, he was found in possession of methamphetamine.
During the investigation regarding the knife and the blood found on the truck, officers learned that a fight occurred at one of the apartments. The person cut with a knife did not want to press charges against the person responsible.
