Idaho Falls home goes up in flames
A man and his dog have been forced out of their home by a massive fire.
Firefighters responded to the house at 10951 South 15 East at 1:53 a.m. Saturday, where they found the home engulfed in flames.
Officials say the fire started on the deck behind the house, burned up an outside wall, spread into the attic and onto the roof.
The damage is estimated to be about $180,000.
The homeowner was taken to EIRMC, where he was checked out and released later Saturday morning.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
