Big Brothers Big Sisters in need of little brothers and sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters is in need. Not of volunteers, but of children.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for children ages 6 to 12 who live in a single-parent household or with a nonparental guardian to sign up.
Big Brothers Big Sisters promotes good morals, confidence and most importantly a friendship.
One of the big sisters, Britni Storer, is waiting for her new little sister.
“I was proud of my little sister. I took her around to community events and I felt like I was strutting my stuff, like, ‘Hey this is my little sister,’ so I was really proud to be a big sister and I really hope I have more opportunities because there’s a hole without it,” said Storer.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a one-year commitment but can continue until the child turns 18.
