Moose relocated after charging 88-year-old woman

Idaho wildlife officials relocated an adult bull moose after it charged an 88-year-old Arbon Valley woman while she was in her yard.

Idaho Fish and Game regional wildlife specialist Toby Boudreau tells the Idaho State Journal that Nelda Williams wasn’t injured, but he felt it was necessary to relocate the moose after failed attempts to get it to leave the area.

Williams says she saw the moose on her property on Aug. 1 and took some pictures. She didn’t realize the moose was still in her yard when she went outside later that afternoon. The moose was walking along some trees when it turned andcame straight at her.

Williams uses a ski pole to walk over the uneven ground on her property and she swung the pole while yelling at the moose, which eventually turned away.
