Dems pick candidate for Idaho House seat

The Bannock County Democrats have named Carolyn Meline to take over the race for Idaho House District 29.

Meline served as Bannock County commissioner for 17 years and was the state committeewoman for the county political party for 10 years.

“Every day is a gift, and I think this is a gift,” said Meline. “And I can give back to the people who have always been giving to me in this area.”

The spot she’s running for opened up after Nate Murphy withdrew so he could take his dream job.

Meline is running against Republican Dave Bowen.
