Janalyce Turpin

With school back in session it’s time to start up our United Dairymen of Idaho Distinguished Student reports. We begin with a talented young woman from Snake River High School – Janalyce Turpin.
Janalyce is a beautiful actress and singer who just completed performing the role of Lily in Snake River’s production of The Secret Garden.
“It’s been great, being with the cast and performing for the crowd. I love music so it’s just been an awesome experience,” Janalyce said.
Not only is Janlyce talented, she’s smart as well. She takes honors and AP classes and is on the high honor roll. Janalyce feels academics are an important focus in high school.
“It’s how you excel in life – it’s one of the main goals to get a good education,” Janalyce said.
Janlyce has also participated in the school volleyball and softball. Director Laurie Grayson says Janalyce’s best quality is her kindness to others – she’s friendly to everyone. Perhaps that’s why she wants to go into the medical field.
“I like helping people and being around them and just knowing that I’ve helped people and made their life a little better,” Janalyce said.
As she begins her senior year Janalyce has this advice for other students.
“Do as much as you can. Get involved in a lot of activities, be nice, have fun and be yourself,” Janalyce said.
