Idaho Ag Dept. schedules pesticide pickup

The public is going to be able to have a safe, legal, and free opportunity to dispose of unusable pesticides this month when the Idaho State Department of Agriculture conducts its annual collections.

Participation is free for the first 1,000 pounds of unusable pesticides per participant. That includes herbicides, insecticides or anything with a “cide” at the end.

Participants do need to register the total number of pounds of pesticides they are disposing by calling their local ISDA field office or by calling the Boise office.

Fall 2012 collection sites:

Monday: Madison County Transfer Station, 530 Airport Road, Rexburg Tuesday: USDA Service Center, 1120 E. Lincoln Road, Idaho Falls Wednesday: Eastern Idaho State Fairgrounds, 97 Park St., Blackfoot Thursday: Oneida County Weed Control Office, 561 W. Oneida, Preston
