Remains found in Nevada of missing Canadian
The body of a Canadian man, who has been missing for over a year, was found in northern Nevada.
The Elko County Sheriff’s office reported two hunters found the body on Saturday. Sheriff deputies returned Sunday morning to retrieve the body.
The sheriff’s office said Albert Chretien body was identified by some items in his pockets. He was found in a heavily wooded area of Merritt Mountain.
Chretien was reported missing in March 2011. He and his wife became stranded when their car became stuck in the mud on a backcountry road.
Albert set out on foot for help. His wife, Rita, survived with only a small bag of mixed nuts, some hard candy and fish oil capsules. She was discovered 49 days later.
