Idaho Falls police investigate vehicle burglaries

Multiple vehicle burglaries occurred late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning in Idaho Falls.

The burglarized vehicles were on the 600 block of Bainbridge, 600 block of Manchester, 4000 block of Nottingham and the 700 block of Carriage Gate. Other vehicle burglaries took place on the 2100 block of Cavan and the 800 block of Cedar Ridge

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Bainbridge around 1:15 a.m. for a report of a vehicle burglary. The owner discovered that his three vehicles had been rifled through.

The officers also found that seven other vehicles in the area had also been burglarized. In one incident, the burglar took two subwoofers.

In the 2100 block of Cavan, sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, an unknown suspect stole an HP laptop, an Apple iPad and a fishing license. Total value is more than $1,600. And just before 8 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 800 block of Cedar Ridge for a report of a stolen laptop and stereo from a car. The value of the laptop and stereo is unknown. In both cases, the cars were left unlocked.

Police are reminding residents to secure their vehicles and to not leave anything valuable inside.
