More development coming to Rexburg
The city of Rexburg has some major developments in the works.
Members of the chamber of commerce and the city met together with leading real estate developers Wednesday afternoon to discuss the future of the city.
According to city economist Scott Johnson, Hemming Properties is in the process of opening up a new apartment complex for women at Hemming Village.
It’s also building a medical building with offices for multiple doctors. It’s scheduled for completion in April.
The city is taking steps to make all of this possible.
“As far as infrastructure, the city is working hard to make sure we have broadband that these businesses need that want to come in,” said Donna Benfield of the chamber.
Although nothing is set in stone yet, the company is looking to put in additional retail stores and married housing as its next projects.
