Motor home crashes into dry creek bed near I-15

A motor home ended up in a dry creek bed in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Malad on Tuesday morning.
Eugene Gillette, 79, of Bishop, Calif., attempted to exit the interstate in a 1991 Blue Bird motor home at 11 a.m. when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the top of the off-ramp, Idaho State Police said. Gillette continued through the intersection and went off the embankment on the south side of State Highway 36.

Gilette and his passenger, Joye Gillette, 75, were both taken by ground ambulance to Oneida County Hospital in Malad. Joye was later flown by air ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.
