Sheriff: Man arrested hours after fleeing deputies

A man wanted by Madison deputies was arrested Tuesday.

Around 3 a.m., deputies tried to pull over Daniel Resendiz, who they said fled from them on foot. The sheriff’s office then sent out two emergency phone notifications to the public – one that a suspect was on the run and another that gave his name and description. The sheriff’s office also alerted the public through its Facebook page, where it gave a detailed description of Resendiz down to his skinny jeans and the color of his iPhone.

At 8 a.m., a resident saw him coming out of an outbuilding and called police. Resendiz was then arrested.

Charges against Resendiz are pending, but initially include unlawful entry and eluding a police officer. Deputies also said he was driving on a suspended license.
