Grinch steals car, pet donations

A car filled with donations to the Bannock Humane Society was stolen at the Maverik on East Alameda in Pocatello on Thursday morning.

Surveillance video shows a white male dressed in all dark clothing riding a BMX bicycle. The suspect stole the car, and the BMX bicycle was left in the parking lot. Officers have obtained fingerprints off of the bicycle to help identify the suspect.

This white 1992 Honda Accord with Idaho plate 1BR4656 contained numerous community donations to the humane society, which included numerous pet toys, food and other items.

“It is the owner’s only mode of transportation, and the donations to the Bannock Humane Society will surely be missed,” police said in a news release.

Anyone with information can contact the Pocatello Police Communications Center at (208) 234-6100.
