Armed man robs Idaho Falls Subway

The Subway restaurant on East 17th was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night.

Two restaurant employees told police that around 8:15 p.m., a man in a white Chevrolet Impala ordered a sandwich in the restaurant’s drive-through. The man, wearing a black ski mask, drove to the drive-through window and pointed a rifle at them. As the employees attempted to back away and call 911, the man pushed the drive through window open and yelled at them to come back up front or he would shoot. He demanded the cash from the registers.

The employees complied and emptied the two cash registers. The man then left.

Officers later found the car on the 500 block of North Fanning. The car was determined to have been stolen.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the Idaho Falls Police Department at 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 522-1983.
