Pocatello man arrested in Nampa on attempted murder warrant

A Pocatello man was arrested in Nampa on a warrant for attempted murder on Tuesday evening.

U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson said the Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force also arrested arrested Droshawn Griggs, 27, on a warrant issued by the U.S. District Court in Pocatello on federal drug charges.

Deputy U.S. marshals, the Pocatello Police Department and Idaho Department of Correction–Probation and Parole (Pocatello) had been looking for Griggs for about a month and a half when they learned Griggs was staying at a motel in the Nampa area.

Agents arrested Griggs without incident.

Griggs and two other defendants, Toulon K. Mattox and Chase R. Mitchell, were indicted by a federal grand jury Dec. 11, 2012, for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances – methamphetamine, Oxycontin and marijuana.

Authorities did not release details on the circumstances leading to the charges against Griggs.
